The Honda XL750V Transalp is a new motorcycle in the Japanese automaker’s adventure line. The model was created to perform well on roads, tracks, and dirt, making it a very complete option for everyday use.

The XL750V Transalp’s design features a robust construction. The fairing is strong enough to withstand off-road riding, while the positioning and lightness of the frame favor maneuvering in urban traffic. In addition, the windshield is a welcome feature for long-distance journeys.

Speaking of chassis construction, the diamond frame weighs only 40.3 lbs in the main section. The forged aluminum upper triple clamp provides more support on difficult terrain.

Engine and Performance

The new Honda XL750V Transalp features a 755cc (46 cubic inch), 4-stroke, parallel twin-cylinder engine with 8 valves. It delivers a maximum power output of 91.7 hp and a maximum torque of 55 lb-ft. Features like the Air Vortex and Ni-Sic coating help to keep the engine running cool and efficient.

Suspension and Handling

The motorcycle’s front suspension is a Showa SFF-CA inverted fork (USD), while the rear has an adjustable monoshock. Combined with a comfortable riding position, the XL750V provides a high level of safety and stability.

Technology and Features

Honda’s adventure bike comes standard with four riding modes: Rain, Standard, Gravel, and Sport. These riding modes alter the operation and selection of the bike’s engine, clutch, and braking system.

The Honda XL750V Transalp’s braking system is ABS-equipped, with the option of adjustment or complete shutdown. Honda’s HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control) monitors the wheels to prevent loss of traction and provide more support for riding, especially when cornering.

A 5-inch, full-color TFT screen provides all the essential information. The motorcycle is also equipped with the Honda Smartphone Voice Control system, allowing for connectivity and control via a dedicated app (available in select countries). With Bluetooth, the rider can make calls, listen to music, select driving modes, and navigate with maps.

The motorcycle’s lighting is full LED, including the headlights, taillights, and turn signals. The ESS (Emergency Stop Signal) system warns other drivers from a distance when the rider brakes suddenly.

Fuel Consumption and Range

The Honda XL750V has a fuel economy that is in line with its competitors in the adventure category. It achieves an estimated 54 mpg. The fuel tank has a capacity of 4.5 gallons, providing a range of over 240 miles.

Price and Availability

Honda has not yet confirmed the arrival date and price of the XL750V in the Brazilian market. In Portugal, the bike should be sold for around 11 thousand euros. In the US market, the Honda XL750V Transalp is available in the following colors:

Customization Packages

Honda offers a series of customization packages for the XL750V (at least in the European market). The Comfort package provides a center stand, a 12V charging socket, and travel bags.

The Rally package includes the optional quickshifter system, as well as lever and engine protection. The Urban package includes 50-liter luggage, an increased windshield height, and a center stand.

The Touring pack includes side and rear cases, support brackets, and heated handlebar grips. Finally, the Adventure Combi pack provides greater robustness in engine protection.
