New 2025 Honda CRF 450
Honda has released different motorcycle models in the North American and European markets, such as the CRF450X, CRF450R, and the CRF450RX. The version expected to arrive first in the US is the Honda CRF450X.
All models feature an aluminum frame to improve stability even at high speed. The CRF 450 features 49mm USD forks.
The motto “More Acceleration Less Effort” highlights the new models’ focus on performance and ease of use. The engine features a redesigned air intake and a 44mm throttle body.

Engine
Honda’s new off-road engines promise a lot of power for any terrain. The Unicam engine is 149cc (9.1 cubic inches), and it can reach 150cc (9.2 cubic inches) in the CRF450RX version, with four valves per cylinder.
The CRF450’s engine designs are optimized with variations in the cylinder head to save weight and narrow the valve angle. This engine construction also lowers the motorcycle’s center of gravity.
The PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection) system features 44mm and 46mm throttle bodies, depending on the model, and a 5-speed transmission.
Design
The CRF 450 models are built to offer a classic off-road design with new features to facilitate balance and safety at high speeds in difficult terrain.
The chassis features lightweight aluminum with 2mm front joints that improve stability. Damping is boosted by Showa suspension with a 49mm fork and a rear shock.
The design features new details on the ‘HRC’ logo, with a classic look from the 1980s.
Fuel Consumption
Off-road models are not designed for fuel efficiency, as the goal is to offer a strong engine with lots of power. The gas tanks range from 2 to 2.1 gallons.
The motorcycle achieves between 21 and 23 mpg, which is consistent with the model.
