Initially, the new BMW S 1000 RR caused a revolution in the supersport category when it was launched in 2009. The bike continues to evolve, being equipped with a 207 hp engine and 83 lb-ft of torque at 11,000 rpm.

In addition, the new RR is lighter, weighing around 434 lbs (197 kg), and also features excellent ergonomics. The frame, fuel tank, seat, rear end, and footpegs have been modified to offer more support, freedom of movement, and better knee support.
